Note:

  • For those who use satellite navigation, it is appropriate to enter Montone as the city and Carpini as the address.
  • For those coming from Gubbio and using navigation apps: we invite you to set Pietralunga as the first destination and, once on the SP201 road, set Monte Valentino as the final destination; this is to avoid running into an error, which we have unfortunately recently encountered, whereby some navigation apps suggest routes on roads that are actually impassable.

How to get here

Monte Valentino is located a few kilometers from the E45 Orte-Cesena freeway, from which you must exit at the Montone-Pietralunga junction, to continue on provincial road 201 in the direction of Pietralunga, but without reaching the village. At the 12th kilometer, in the locality of Carpini, a sign reading “Agriturismo Monte Valentino” indicates the fork on the right. Subsequent forks are also indicated.

If, on the other hand, you are coming from the Adriatic side, particularly from the Marche region, you will be able to arrive at Cagli and from there continue on provincial road 201 to Pietralunga-Umbertide; having passed the town of Pietralunga, you will have to proceed until the 12th kilometer, where, in the locality of Carpini, you will meet the fork, in this case on the left.

Important! Our farmhouse is at the top of a mountain and the last portion of the road, just over a kilometer, is an uphill dirt road with curves; the best way to deal with it is to proceed unhurriedly and steadily, keeping the lowest gear and staying on the outside of curves while driving.
